Old Japanese Home Run Derby Featuring Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, And Bernie Williams

outlandish news

This is a must see, especially with the MLB All-Star Game Homerun Derby on the horizon later this week.

Japan has a different way of doing things, and a video has surfaced (h/t Deadspin) that shows just how crazy things can get when they decide to hold their own derby.

The video is from 2002 and features Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, and Bernie Williams facing off in a home run hitting contest that has a whole bunch of twists including smokescreens, a trampoline, and dual pitchers.

You can see the full video below. Thank God for YouTube.
