The Jane Austen’s House Museum is apparently making further efforts to block Kelly Clarkson from exporting a rare Jane Austen ring she won at an auction last year. The museum claims it has received an anonymous donation of about $155,000 — about two-thirds of the estimated $237,000 Clarkson paid for the turquoise ring, given by Austen to her sister Cassandra — which is apparently enough money to “show a serious expression of interest to buy the ring.”
